Kent's Progress

Hi everyone,
It has been two weeks now since I have had the hip replacement and I am doing very well. I have to use a walker right now for stability but I have very little pain and I can walk pretty fast! The Lord is Great!
I thank you for all your prayers, cards, and best wishes. You really picked up my spirit and gave me encouragement. I should be in church this weekend! See you there!

I'm doing pretty good...Thanks for all your prayers!

Well it is hard to believe that just last week I was going in for surgery. Considering everything...I am doing very well. I still have a few weeks of receovery before I can really get out much. All those old muscles were cut and pulled to put the new hip in...so a lot of heating is needed! Thanks again! I am up walking now with a walker and the great news is, where my hip was extremely arthritic before...I have no pain. Thank you Jesus for being the great healer and physician.

Sunday, May 17, 2009 Neil and Courtney and Linger Longer Cookout!

we had a tremendous crowd of just around 60! Neil and Courtney shared their Mission to India. New Church is going to partner with them in prayer and finances. After church service and communion, we stayed for the famous potluck aptly called "Linger Longer". Special thanks goes to Judy Langley and her pork nacho dish. Someone is looking out for me! We cooked out, played wiffleball and catch but most of all enjoyed each other's company. The food was delicious and plentiful. Thanks to all who cooked...I enjoyed it!!!

Everyone was a little tired starting the day but then we sang the Ezekial song and everyone got going. The children passed out roses to all the mothers, future mothers, and our surrogate mothers.

Bible Prophecy Study is meeting every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. in the Library at McLean

Sunday, May, 3, 2009

The Bible Prophecy class studied Matthew 24 and talked of the Jewish remnant in the Last Days. Service was awesome! We had a great service today with a large crowd. We sang Just as I Am, 1000's Hallelujahs, and the Worship Song. Scott sermon was on the Holy Spirit being our intercessor. This sermon really struck a chord with me. We prayed for written and unwritten concerns of New Church.
